New member, not sure where to post this, move it if there is a more appropriate place. Customer with a 50 year old piece of equipment, need to remove this bearing to repair the equipment. Looks like I need 2 spanner wrenches to remove collars, then pull it off with a huge bearing puller? Am I on the right track? Can't find a diagram on line. If someone has one please email to

dickt at progtool.net

Thanks

There were no collars, just a light press on a sleeve which was a light press fit on the shaft. No idea why there were spanner wrench holes in it. We were able to break it loose with the wrenches we made and tap the end of the shaft to remove it.

RJT was checking in for about 2 weeks when this thread was active and has not logged on since Aug 1. Maybe if he has set up an automatic notifier he will know you were asking for him.
