I'm working on a fairly simple ignition style circuit which contains caps diodes, resistors, pots, a 555 timer and a darlington pair transistor.
Repairs are usually simple things like replacing burned out diodes or a burned off trace.
I have a test rig for the whole circuit which is basically a go/no go tester but can be used to run the board for an extended time. I am concerned about post repair field failures and I am wondering if there is some way to test the additional components for partial damage. Also looking for tips on testing the whole circuit for long term reliability.

Thanks in advance.

Hi, run it at an elevated temperature say 70degC for 24hrs. This will accelerate component failure an weed out all the weak components.
