HI ALL.

we are following ARAMCO standers I have a problem in the specification of the reinforcement pad.
Our run pipe is 48'' (API 5L gr x60)0.375 w.t our branch connection is (12'') (API 5l GR x60)0.330 W.T

will we use the same specification 48'' (API 5L gr x60)0.375 w.t for reinforcement pad?

May check the Code requirement, for example B31.3 Section 304.3.3

So long as your pad makes up the metal last then yes, why not. However you might need to make the pad slightly bigger diameter to fit nicely. Should mean you don't need a different welding spec.
