Have a new project which is looking to add another story on top of the existing mild-reinforced concrete structure supported on pile cap on piles. I've read the FEMA 547 which has some very useful conceptual design in Section 23.8, but would like to see if there's anyone has past experiences regarding extending the existing pile cap with added drilled piers to increase its compression capacity.
