I have been asked to select valve trim components. Are there any good references for materials selection of valve trim that you could suggest?

Piping Handbook, McGraw Hill, latest edition

Mostly petroleum refining. I get a lot of requests for sour water service and high pressure, high temperature, high h2S service.

as you probably know, for sour and/or H2S services you should also refer to NACE regulations.
