dear all,

i have been using and designing the shell & tube heat exchangers using the book of d q kern. process heat transfer

can anyone suggest a book for designing tube & fin type of heat exchangers used in the air conditioning and refrigeration industry.

thanks in advance

Compact Heat Exchangers by Kays and London. Another book which is widely prescribed in these forums, but I didn't have my hands on, is Heat Exchangers : Thermal-Hydraulic Fundamentals and Design by Sadic Kakac.

Regards,

vinod68,

I am not sure if this is what you need, however I would first recommend referring to the "ASHRAE Handbook Refrigeration":

Additionally, I often refer to the "Trane Air Conditioning Manual":
Regards,

The glass is neither half full nor half empty; it is simply twice as large as it need be.
