Redimensioning a geometry?

I recieved an IGES geometry of a rather complex body. I need to be able to apply a dimension (an angle) between two faces so that I can respecify it easily later. How do I do something like this?
 
IGES geometry is blind, u can not redefine dimensions (angular or linear.
 
from the setup menu you can create ref dim which you can show in your model

but you cannot modify it
