Rectangular HSS beam to Round HSS column connection 1

I appreciate any comments or suggestions you might have on the rectangular HSS to round HSS connection detail shown in the attached sketch.

I think I would add a knife plate stiffener at the centerline of the column extending into the supporting HSS tube that flared top and bottom from the far edge of the square HSS section to the inside face of the round HSS section. Seems better for the bending moment than just relying on the side walls of both sections.

Which is the load side, the round column (which I think is the support being a column) or the rectangular girder, or are both tied to each other?
