Hi everybody,
I would like to install small business about solvent recovery systems. I will get dirty solvents from car factories. They are using this solvent for the cleaning purposes of spray guns and machines. I would like to recycle it. The quantity is app. 100 tons per month. There are two alternatives that I thought. One is, To do simple seperation from solid particules and use again washing solvent , or other metod is; to seperate its compounds such as; xylene, buthyl acetate, iso buthanol etc.
I will do feasibility study about this alternatives which one is better and economic ?
Does anybody who is experienced about this job, help me about this job.
I am living in developing country, and There is no this type of plant in my country.
Many thanks

For solvent recovery used in disolving resins, gums, salts, and other solids, evaporation based recovery is your best best. Packaged equipment can reclaim your solvents. The solids (including dirt) can be retained in a bag which is free of solvent and can often be disposed of as a non-hazardous solid waste.

Actually seperating (distilling) your recovered solvent into its more valuable constituents is a more complicated issue to analyze and would depend on your feed composition and availability vs the needs of your potential customers.

best wishes,
sshep
