Why, almost all the time Catia is not able to record a macro?

Are you trying to record a macro in a non-supported workbench, like FreeStyle?

If not, could you give a little more information on what you're trying to record?

Do you mean when you record the macro then go back to edit the script all you have is Sub and End Sub?
I get that often even outside of FreeStyle.

OK, then be specific.

What version, what workbench, what function, etc, etc, etc...

Like KooKoo said, I record a macro, even in the part design (CATIA V5 R14 and R15), and all I have is Main Sub and End Sub with nothing between them. I don't know why, but sometime it works, and sometime, it doesn't work??

Thanks for your help!!!

I believe that I've answered my question... When you are trying to record something that Catia is not able to encode, VBScript begins to have some probles to record easy Macro ... I've just done the test two times. To be able to record a macro again, you have to restart Catia.

It's because I was trying to record a split in GSD. So when I tried this and that gave me nothing between main Sub and End Sub, I tried to record an other easy macro. There was still nothing in the VBScript Window. Like I've said, to be able to record an other recordable macro, you have to restart CATIA.

If you have other suggestion, I will be pleased to receive them!!!

Sounds like a Bug to me. Submit a PMR.
