I work for a company that design and fabricate skids for compressed air systems. These packages range in size and complexity dependent on the number of compressors/dryers and associated equipment requested.
Due to the amount of piping our packages have the main skids are designed to minimize the amount of deflection across the beams during lifting and transportation.
We presently contract the verification of the skid design to a 3rd party. I would like some suggestions for an inexpensive software that can give us the stresses that the skid will experience during lifting and transportation that is simple to use.
Again our skids simple. Basically rectangular in shape with 3 to 4 runners and cross members added to support the equipment.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
