Hi,

Can anyone recommend an excellent handbook for fault finding, and maintenance of rotary machines and air ventilation etc?

Thanks

Try It's SKF's maintenance forum I guess is the best way to describe it. Some things are free, some require a payment. There are lots of good tools for fault finding and lots of technical papers on various applications.

heinz bloch's books appers to be the best for your specific question, as i understand you need experienced expert's advice. there is lot of literature.
rcm books can give you the frame for setting reliability-establishing process.
manufacturers manuals, never to be omitted. inevitably among top sources of literature!
if this is not sufficiant please let me know
