Reciprocating Compressor - After Overhaul Run tests 1

Hi friends

I want to standarize and improve the run test procedure and others start-up procedures for Natural Gas Reciprocating Compressors after overhaul.

1. I would like to know how many tests are needed without load and with load.( I.e 1 minute, 5 minutes, 10 minutes etc. Starts and stops for main bearing caps and connecting rod bearing caps temperature measurements)

2. How long time is needed for hot alignment procedure

initial checks for a hot bearing or oiling issues i usually only go 5 to 10 minutes, for final clearance and alignments have to be done when driver and compressor is all up to operating temperatures for the oil and coolant
