Hi all,

Working on designing a medical device that will ventilate a patient (displace air exhalation/inhalation cycle).
The requirements:
1. Frequency - max of 0.5Hz
2. Volume - min volume is 3ml, max 3000ml (doesn't have to be the same unit)
3. Medical grade
4. Force isn't an issue

So far from what i have learned, some devices use air bellows and some air cylinders.
I managed to find one manufacturer of such cylinders (Airpot.com) , after disassembling an old ventilator which uses Airpot's cylinder.

Any leads will be welcome (manufacturers, category name, specific products etc').

Best,
SD

A forum full of engineers and not a single lead for medical automation manufacturers?

I'm not clear on what exactly you're asking..

If you're looking for brand names of ventilators to tear-down (?) then ask a bunch of ICU nurses as they should know.

Looking for a component or manufacturer of such components (pumps, air cylinders, bellows, whatever...), that have medical standards and will provide the capability of air transportation (as described in the original post).
