Hello,
I am looking for the rule of thumb regarding the max suction pressure for a triplex pump. I remember it being something like 1/3 of the discharge pressure while something else? This rule was used to maintain proper lubrication for the power end during high suction pressures. I am running 600psi suction and 3000psi discharge and its within the pressure range of the pump.
