Rebar Truss Slab Reinforcing

In a recent conversation a friend of mine described a system of reinforcing slabs with small rebar trusses, cast into the slab. Apparently the system is being utilized on high rise buildings in China that he is working on. Unfortunately he is an architect, and not involved directly with the slab design, so I'm curious if anyone else is familiar with this system and could provide any information.
