Rebar price per Kg

Hi everyone,

I'm just starting a peer review of a concrete project and was wondering about the rebar price per Kg (mat and labour) to have an appreciation of the savings we could get.
Any ideas about this?

I think deformed refers to the bar finish (deformed versus smooth). Fabrication costs (cutting and bending) are extra. Placing is also extra. Make sure you check out the Australian vs. Canadian dollar too.

We have be seeing $800 US per ton fabricated for black steel. Installation cost maybe that much again. So $1500 +/- per ton installed.

$2/ lb sounds high even for delivered, placed, tied.
