Real difference between SA-182 with SA-403

Hi!!!!

I have a question about this two specifications. I want to design a little vessel with a coupling but the vessel (all in inox 304)and for a specification for coupliing for that nature corresponds SA-403 T-304, but when I saw the coupling (phisically) I saw "SA-182" marked. I checked ASTM but the difference I "found", was just that SA-182 handles low alloy carbon steel and according to inox topics, have the "same properties" with SA-403.
Please can you clarify me this, because I don get it.

I want to design a little vessel mean?

Is this a code stamped pressure vessel or not? The difference in material specifications is this - for SA 403, this material specification is for wrought austenitic stainless steel fittings that are used in pressure piping systems and have specific requirements for NDT (nondestructive examination). SA 182 specification is for forged or rolled steel fittings for use in pressure systems.

There are indeed differences in fabrication methods and NDT requirements. You need to review both specifications side by side to understand these differences.

Thank you so much. It is an "autoclave". But for calculation procedure according to ASME, it is consider as a pressured vessel, and it should be code stamped.
Well I checked composition and is the same, but i didnt check fabrication method but if I use SA-182 in pressures systems, you mean like for pressure vessels??? And what exacly specific NDT requirements do you mean with SA-403?
