Have just got some EXP files myself and don't really want to fire up a V4 machine. Tried the tip above but Catia (V5R19SP3) starts a new session for it and then whinges that there isn't a license. For some reason it is looking for it locally when my MD2 licence is on the server. Tried all sorts to point it in the right direction but it refuses to be sensible.
Nope, I only have one license. My first try was to kill my session and start the Util command from the Windows Start menu, using catia/tools/batchmanagement, but it does the same in that it wants a local license. I tried the LUM tool, but it refuses to see an available server which also makes no sense.
I'm running Win7 Ultimate 64bit and one thing that has always baffled me was that even though I am a local administrator I still get messages saying I don't have sufficient permissions. As a result I even tried 'running as administrator' on these with no improvement.
One possibility is that it asked for access to the internet which I allowed even though I don't see why it needs it, but still no joy.
I assume the MD2 license should allow me to run utilities as i recall running it before on MD2 and HD2 licenses for earlier versions, but you never know...
The problem is with the LUM software. You need to install LUM 4.6.8.14 or greater to fix this. I had a similar issue and the LUM was not issuing a ACID number (client ID number) for the session of catia. When you start a new session on the computer the LUM checks and you have an ACID number and then if fires the session.
