Hello everyone,

Rowing Club. I am doing strengthening of the existing rowing club building
The club is a 2 storey structure. I have a model with walls on four sides with openings along the south side (sea side view wall). The problem here is i don't have a rigid diaphragm instead i have semi flexible diaphragm (timber floor). I am doing strengthening to the diaphragm itself at both roof &floor level which is been done. I see the steel cross braces (strengthened) as diaphragm at both levels doesn't transfer my manually applied seismic loads to the walls on all four sides properly. Is there any other way to make sure that my loads are transferred on the external walls properly to determine my wall strength under lateral eq loads. As i don't have rigid diaphragm i am struck in midst to determine my wall demands for both flexure and shear. Once i get my demands i can think of a consequent strengthening scheme for my walls. Please respond me as early as possible because i am working on it right now.

PS I am using plus version of etabs

Thanks
Vignesh
