I have to add additional circuit in the existing control circuit. the additional circuit involves some wiring & MCB. The control supply is 230 V ac. How it will be decided that what would be the rating of MCB.THe existing wiring used is 2.5 sq mm.

Hi.
1. Load and type of load. Choice of MCB curve : A,B,C,D,K,Z
2. SC on this additional wiring.
3. Selectivity with upstream MCB.
4. Selectivity between upstream MCB ( or MCCB) and new one according to MCB types.I would recommend check table of selectivity of MCB mnf.
