what i have is a slot connection running from the center of the ratchet
wheel. ( datum plane intersect) and a point on the ratch lock. This
doesnt work when the pneumatic cylinder is actuated.

might try a cam connection.

I always had this question in my mind as to how Pro/E handles Intermittent motion mechanisms like Indexing, where contact is lost. Asked a few PTC guys too. didn't get a satisfactoryanswer. But that was in 2000i^2.

Have you done it...?

not yet... playing around with making it using cam connections.
