Hello!
I am trying to determine the pore pressure distribution within a slope resulting from a rapid drawdown of a lake, using ABAQUS. I am specifying the initial condition of pore pressure, void ratio and saturation. For the transient analysis I am specifying the pore pressure boundary condition with the amplitude corresponding to the draw down rate, on the surface in contact with the lake. However the solution diverges and model stops after some iterations. I tried many different things like changing initial time step, antisymmetric solver etc, but the analysis never completes.
I am attaching the .inp file.
Is there any mistake in my input file? can anyone help me with this problem. I will appreciate your kind suggestions.
thanks,
Ahsan
