You should be able to find some information by performing a google search on the terms 'raman', 'zirconia' and 'alumina'... can also try journal search engine
I've done a little work on raman analyses of zirconia; it is possible to distinguish between the different phases of zirconia (c,t,m and o) with a little difficulty - Raman is one of the few techniques that can. XRD can also do the same, but with less precision (only able to focus on large areas). TEM can too, but the sample prep might put some people off.

Didn't do any work with alumina, but I remember there being a few papers about the raman analyses of alumina... there are also references regarding the RA of zirconia toughened alumina.

Not so sure about piezospectroscopic techniques... try google and scirus.
