Is there a simple way to define the section properties of a built-up member that is not defined in the tables?

I found in Chapter 15 of the manual that you can make new sections by creating a macro using their LEO language. It looks like a lot of work. Anyone?

If the built up member conforms to one of the many profiles installed with the program (i.e. a W shape, or a Channel), then you can simply go to configuration - sections - new and add a new section based on user defined dimensions.

If the profile is unique, you can use the Section 15 to guide you in creating your own profiles, though it cam be involved.

Otherwise, if you know the properties of the section in question (area, inertia, etc), then you can also was create a section of the "Gen" type. The analysis will be accurate you just can't perform a steel design on such a section.
