I use a RAM Disk that I bought a few months ago.
In the Inventor7 settings I set UNDO to S:\Temp (S: The actual ramdisk installed).
To set Inventor:
Open Tools, Appl.options, File. UNDO is first line.
It quiets my PC as the Hard Disk is not activated to store the UNDO info.
I have made no specific comparisons with respect to speed.
The old Ramdisk.sys that I could find, was max 31MB an too small.
I have set my RAM disk to use 190MB.
I feel that it works fine with Windows XP, 512MB RAM.
I also use the \temp directory for browsers for Internet.
Think it was worth the money. Any comments?
