Hi,

I have an internal open plantwell with a 100mm pipe disappearing through a wall at floor level (fall unknown!). This pipe i think then bends vertically down and drops down a riser.
Can anyone advise on the calculation required to work out how much water this pipe will remove?

Thanks

Lee

Pipe flow according to Bernoulli.
At constant velocity,
Z + P1/[γ]/H1 - HL = Z + P2/[γ]/H2
Use any appropriate flow equation to calculate Head Loss, HL.

Reduce the flow by some appropriate amount that depends on if there is a screen or grating or some other entry conditions for the water going into the pipe.
