Does any one have information for stormwater data for the state of Alabama. I am trying to develop a data base for my Terramodel software. After looking all over the place I have finally found the curves from TP #25 and have downloaded TR-55 and printed manual, I just want to make sure that I have all the info to make accurate calculations.
I am also looking for any straightforward text to give me insight into calculating pipe sizes, detention/retention ponds etc. I am a draftsman/beginning designer that needs to get up to speed as quickly as possible, my engineer boss
is constantly on the run and difficult to tie down for a hydrology lesson.
Thanks in advance - any help will be appreciated!!!!

You might want to try the university of Alabama. Some of the professors have already produced some work on IDF curves for the State. Dr. "Rocky" Duran is an expert in the field of hydrology and can be a great help. Two other documents you may need to help you out are TP-20 and Hydro-35. Both publication can be obtained from the National Weather Service or NOAA. Additionally, the NWS and USGS have done localized studies in your area - so contact their local offices to obtain their publications.

Try a search on the net for SMADA. Also Hydlogy Water Quantity and Quality Control,Martin Wanielista, Robert Kersten and Ron Ealglin. Published by John Wiley & Sons, Inc.ISBN 0-471-07259-1 The book and SMADA program come as one about $80.00. Well worth it.
