I am interested in finding the standard for steps to board and/or disembark from a passenger train and the location of the RR platform to the last step.
If possible can you tell me what the standards are and where I might find them.
Thank you

I am interested in finding some regulations/standards/guidelines regarding the required use of air brakes on a yard engine inside an industrial facility switch yard by the yard owner. Any ideas?

Most of the major railways (for example Metra in Chicago) has their own standard drawings that present the distance and height of the platform corner related to the top of rail elevation and to the centerline of track. Based on those dimensions and your car characteristics you should be able to figure out what you need. It really depends on who you are working for.
