Radial Array Patterns?? ProE2001??

It's been a while since I've used 2001 but it can be done.


The datum you use for the anglular movement of the pattern probably needs to be created on-the-fly. In other words, start your slot feature and when it asks for a sketch plane reference, create the angular plane and reference it for geometry creation. Sorry, I'm going based on memory alone so the exact picks I don't know. Here's a simple example of my lead (seed) feature, the datum is "on-the-fly", I've patterned it four times around a cylinder.





If that doesn't work, you could create a centerline in your sketch that's clocked by referencing a plane so it has an angle to pick on. The rest of your sketch would then be referenced to this centerline.


This gets much easier in Wildfire, by the way, but it really is only one more line in your sketch or creation of the plane slightly differently than you're doing.
