I NEED INFO (HELP) FOR THE DESIGN OF A EXHAUST SYSTEM FOR A RACING PLANE. THE RACER USES A 1340 PRATT AND WHITNEY RADIAL ENGINE. I AM WIDE OPEN TO CONCEPTS AND SOURCES FOR INFO.

Hello,

The engine you refer to powered the T-6 series of planes and I am sure you know this. I am not familiar with the amount of space you will have or in what airframe. This link might help you with others that have modified their exhausts. I hope that can be of some help.

some time ago,I had questions about the operation of the P&W 1340H engine. I contacted Covington Aircraft. They remanufacture this engine.A Mr.B. Abbot was very helpful.perhaps they can help you, too.details follow
