I recently took on a position at a start-up, with a very small staff. As a result, I am the sole resource responsible for design/documentation as well as the management of all engineering projects. Part of that is tracking RFQ's, and this is something I am having trouble with. I was wondering if anyone had a suggestion for any software/process that could help with the following:
1. Organize all information on quotes for a particular part/assembly in one place.
2. Track the following:
-Each company who was sent an RFQ for a particular part.
-When the RFQ was sent.
-Provide regular reminders to follow-up with suppliers who have not returned a quote.
-Track contact with supplier (I'd like to add notes about when they were emailed/called, and if they responded)
-Allow comparison of quotes returned from suppliers
3. Potentially allow me to see all RFQ's sent to a particular supplier, and if we select them for any of the returned quotes.Any help that could be provided with this would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Jon
