"Standard" to Change Drawing Template and Add Notes 2

I want to
1. change the original 2D drawing template to current drawing template (from company A to B, due to acquisition) and
2. Add notes to the drawing.
Okay, since I ask something regarding the drawing standard before (alter, source control), and KENAT did provide me where to refer: ASME Y14.24.
For this case, is there a "standard" for this application? I don't see this in the ASME Y14.24.

Assuming that you are keeping the same drawing number:

Increase the revision level by one.

In the revision description indicate: "Changed to Company B Title Block. Added Notes 7, 8 9".

Of course you would put the actual company name in place of "Company B", and the actual number or numbers of the added notes.

We did this last year due to acquisition.
A lot of drawings were simply changed, then revised per MintJulep's suggestion.
The p/n's stayed the same due to the products are still with customer's.

Beware the tolerance blocks. I worked one place where they revamped the templates and changed the tolerance block with looser tolerances. Suddenly parts didn't fit together no more.

What if there is existing part and build by rev x.
and I am going to change the drawing to higher rev. based on title block changed and adding something (no dimension change, etc).
How does this affect to the part? Should the part be scribed as rev x+1 or no change but with the revision block stating something like "apply to older revision"??

and how about the "DRAWN BY"? replace it or?
I think no changed for this.

It depends on your company and customers, etc.
We had to do a full rev (aerospace).
The drawn by/etc stayed as original names.

Typically an ECN or equivalent contains a section dedicated to what to do with any material on-hand. In this case "Rev. x = use as is"

ASME Y14.100 & Y14.35 have a little bit of relevant info - especially if you follow the non mandatory appendices of Y14.100.

They are available to purchase from places like IHS & techstreet if you don't like the official ASME or ANSI websites.

If on the other hand you are asking where you can get pirated copies of these standards in violation of copyright...
