"read only" catproducts ?????

We received V5 data from an outside company. I am trying to change content inside the catproduct however when I try to save it tells me it's "read only" and the name should be changed. Well I want to keep the same name so is there a way around this?

Have you tried to change the rights on the file (***.catproduct) in windows to "Read&write" ?

save the file in a different folder...ofcourse, possible with the same name..
