"layer by layer" material filling

Hi everyone,
I'm modeling sand flow through pipe in Abaqus. I have a question: how to make those layers? I created datum planes and partitions, but I don't know how to creat predefinied fields properly.

Which analysis procedure do you want to use for this study ? Do you have any literature reference ?

I'm using CEL - Coupled Eulerian Langrarian. In the previous photo I attached Eulerian domain which I should assign material to. I have a problem how to do it that at the beginning the pipe is empty and then every 0,5s another layer is added.

Material - sand is definied with Drucker-Prager model.
I also definied contact between Eulerian domain and Langrarian pipe walls: general contat; in global property assignment: contact, tangential behavior, penalty and normal behavior, hard contact.
