I need a suggestion on a method how to create a "fake weld" for presentation purposes without creating the whole construction all over again just to get the desired appearance. The original file is an assembly created from parts prepared as separate segments for production. Now I need a copy of the whole vehicle frame/chassis as a visual presentation unit (file) for rendering, animation, etc. Attached an image of the segment that is supposed to be joined.

Assuming you are wanting to weld the four clamp halves (stezaci rama set-1-solid1) to the horiz' tube (main rear Y tube-1-solid1), I doubt the Weld function will work for that situation.

You will probably have to create an in-context solid using a sweep, or extruded solid/surface.

I tried with weldments before, not working unless the components are created as weldment profiles. As I'm trying to avoid to build the whole thing from scratch with a different method (several projects with the same/similar positions on many) I suppose that either a sweep or extruded solid will have to be the way to get the visual appearance of a weld/braze.

Thanks.

I tried on a part file, seems to be working. Now I'll just create a new part and insert it on required positions. Doesn't look too bad for a five minute thinking and five minute work.
