Hi all,
I am new to cosmos FEA, & going through tutorial on linear dynamics (randome vibration). Tried the pcb simulation step by step, & it worked out ok.
However, when I tried to run the natural frequency analysis of the pc board assy, an error message always came up:
Number of element nodes is greater than max. allowed:
Element number = 19542
I tried to adjust the element sizes a few times, but couldn't get it worked. The element number may change accordingly, but didn't generate the results. I suspect the irregualar shaped components on pcb may cause the problem & one particular has many legs, which may be the problem source.
Plus, when I plot the response graph later. The displacement value in the graph is 1000 times less than the value of what I probed at the model itself. Setting is always by default, which value is right?
Many thanks on your feedback.
