Questions for users using Teamcenter 8 regarding BOM's?

I would like to gain a better understanding on how Teamcenter users are utilizing BOM views as it pertains to capturing their parts list. And also operating in precise vs. imprecise mode.

I have found that the documentation is really vague when it comes to suggested techniques and methods.

We are trying to better understand how the product functionality can be applied when using Teamcenter 8 UA with NX-CAD.
