Hi !

I am wondering what are the theoretical values for the surface tension of Nickel and Gold.

I am looking to do a "plating" (0,1 µm)of a silicon oxide layer on a gold, or nickel (not defined yet surface). What are the processes / equipment that could do the job ?

Thanks a lot for your advice.

John

Zubaki: I just joined and your post is a little old, so maybe my reply is too old to be useful. But a high-performance SiO2 coating is readily applied by either a sol-gel process or a plasma polymerization. I can give you more info if you want.....
