I met a problem when I used ANSYS to model a composite piezoelectric plate. I assigned 4 DOF (ux,uy,uz,volt) to all nodes of the two-layer plate(both layers are made of piezoelectric materials). And the plate are simply supported at four edges and voltage is applied on the top surface.
During the solving process, error was shown: "specified constraint not allowed on slave DOF in coupled set". It sounds that Volt DOF are slave DOF. Why did I encounter this problem when I specify mechanical and electric boundary conditions?
