Question on Creating GUIs Programmatically...

I have created a GUI layout with out using GUIDE and saved it as a fig file (from file->savesas). Now when i open this fig file (using hgload or openfig) its not recognizing the callback functions that are present in my file. I am getting an error saying something like "undefined function/command abcd_Callback," though that call back is present in my file.

Any ideas what am i missing?

I also read somewhere in documentation thas when we open figures with 'openfig' or 'hgload' comands the figure will not be active....is this some way related to my problem?
