Question marks show up above planes and dimensions are invisible

When I choose a plane to sketch on I get the following...

What are these questions marks that appear above the planes?

Also, if I dimension anything the dimensions do not show. This happens for both Part and Drawing documents.

I've tried repairing the installation with no luck. I also tried uninstalling and deleted any remaining files and then reinstalled with no luck. I'm not sure what else to do or what the problem is. This has never happened before.

Solidworks 2012
