I need to certify some welders in all nickel base materials. (ex. P41 thur P47). The question I have is there one certain Nickel Base material I can have them do a weld coupon for that will certify them in all Nickel Base material, or do I need to have them do a weld coupon pre material.

Under ASME IX, you can qualify welders on carbon steel coupons using F4X (most commonly F43) welding filler metals to permit them to weld nickel base alloys.
