I am trying to simulate a time history analysis of a retaining wall along with foundation and backfill soil. I have already carried out the static analysis and consequently importing the statically generated stresses via predefined field option. Before performing the time history analysis, I want to make the displacements and/or strains all over the model to be zero. Can anyone please let me know how to do this.

Would be good to know what software you are using.

run the time history as a separate loadcase ?

run the time history as a separate model (not a good choice, as two models will inevitably get modified separately during the ensuing analysis; but with discipline can work)

Abaqus has a special "annealing" procedure for that - check the *ANNEAL keyword. You could also use the import functionality (*IMPORT) with UPDATE=YES to reset the reference configuration.
