Hello All,

May I know the option for finding bunch of elements number from the viewport in Abaqus/CAE?

Your help is appreciated. Thank you

You can turn on the display of element labels by going to Assembly or Part display options and choosing Show element labels in the Mesh tab. Then you can hide selected instances/sets in Create Display Group menu so that only selected part of the model will be displayed along with labels.

Thank you FEA Way. I haven't put the question in right format. I am looking for number of elements selected on a view port. (in number format like 20,21)

Kind regards,

That’s possible too. Just choose Query tool, select Mesh and switch to „Select geometric regions” to count elements on selected surfaces or „Select elements” to choose a bunch of elements that don’t have to belong to the same geometric region and count them too.

In the Visualization Module you can easily output the numbers of all elements in the Viewport. Tools -> Query -> Active elements
Hide the regions you are not interested in before doing that.

Thank you so much Mustaine3.
