Do you have any experiences to simulate 'Quench System' including Quench oil and Quench water in Olefins Plant ?
Could you please share your concerning points for simulation ? and how to determine the specifications of Fuel Oil (FO) Product and Raw Pyrolysis Gasoline (RPG) product ?

Is the Aspen Plus useful for prediction of Quench system ?

Thank you very much in advance.
Ekaphol S.,

I have used Aspen Plus for solving the Oil Quench and Water Quench sections, but I have heard from others that it's a difficult simulation to do.
The specifications can be based on the ones from your plant's design basis. The plant must have been designed around some FO and RPG basis and specs. Once you figure out what components / fractions are needed for the streams, you can create pseudo-components / petroleum cuts to use in the simulation. Use this instead of passing a long list of heavy components, which helps with convergence
