I am quite new to instrument diagrams but have developed a good knowledge of process control so I know what all the various valves and indicators are for, I just have not been able to find out what all the abbreviated labels actually stand for, so i was hoping someone could help. A list is included below.

LZT
XZV
P/LICA
PZIT
PZV
FQIA
HZS
PIT
PIA
AI
HCV
HIC

Here's a shot at most of them...

LZT - local zone time
XZV - external zone valve
P/LICA -
PZIT -
PZV - process zone valve
FQIA - fuel quantity indicating alarm
HZS - hydraulic/hydronic zone status/switch/solenoid
PIT - programmable interval timer
PIA - peripheral interface adapter
- power interface assembly
- programmable interface adapter
AI - adapter interface
- admittance inverter (microwave circuits)
- airspeed indicator
- alarm interface
- analog input
- application interface
HCV - hydraulic/hydronic control valve
HIC - human interaction componet
- hybrid integrated circuit

Knowing which field these abbreviations are from would help.
