we have a GTAW/SMAW WPS qualified with PWHT , we want to eliminate the PWHT in the WPS , looking @ ASME IX PWHT is listed as a essential variable for both processes. , if I understand QW- 407.1 correctly, to eliminate the PWHT will require the WPS to be re-qualified versus a revised WPS/PQR as I have been told. I think I'm correct any comments

Correct, you need a new PQR without PWHT.
