pwht of 9 chrome

When completing a 9 Chrome butt joint, are there any code requirements or standard practices that state the welded joint should be pwht within a certain number of days? Also, what should be done with a welded pipe butt joint that is about one half finished and then not completly finished for seven to fourteen days?
