My question is :
if i a need to do a PWHT when I weld a material with P-Number 10 C and the thickness is 0.5 inch? .

What is your code of construction? It will be in there.

Per Note 2, P-No. 10C is exempt if you are below 1.25" (or 1.5" if you meet preheat rules), unless you have one of the joints listed in Note 3. However, even for the joints listed in Note 3, they exempt welds 1/2" thick and less with possible preheat requirements. So it looks like joints 1/2" thick or less would not need PWHT if all the rules are followed. What sort of joint are you welding?
